Types of Data We Collect
When someone visits our website, we use third party services, such as Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to various parts of our websites. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify an individual. We do not ask Google to make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
As part of the registration process for our e-newsletters, we collect personal information by means of an online form you complete and submit or at trade shows where we scan your badge to obtain your details when you visit our exhibition stand. We use that information to tell you about products and services you’ve requested; to verify our records are correct and to check every now and then that you are happy to remain on our lists and in respect of data collected at trade shows to contact you regarding what we spoke to you about at the show or to send you information you requested. We store your data securely and DON’T rent or trade email lists with other organizations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, Constant Contact, to deliver our newsletters. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter, however when we send you an email newsletter, you can also edit your preferences with our agent Constant Contact regarding how they process your data on our behalf (e.g. capturing what you have clicked on our email) by following the preferences link at the bottom of these e-newsletters.
For more information, please see Constant Contact’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe from our email marketing campaigns at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email or by emailing our marketing team. Online Enquiry Forms
Any collection of personal information arising from your submission of enquiry forms on this website will only be used for the purpose stated on the form. It is stored for a short time on our secure website content management system. Once contact with you has been initiated, the completed form and any information contained on the form will be permanently deleted. Your data will only be passed securely to the relevant internal team. We are happy to provide upon request information on how your data is processed and stored once forwarded internally.
Although we will never rent, sell or trade your information, we do work with a vetted and closely monitored network of distributors. This allows BroadStream to offer a rapid and personal service in your country of origin. If a sales enquiry is made with BroadStream from a country that is serviced by one of our distributors we will, with your permission, pass on your details so that they can pick up on your enquiry. We have a strict policy on customer data handling with our distributors to ensure that your data is secure and is not abused in any way.
Minimization and Retention of Data
We will only hold the minimum amount of data that is necessary for the function of our business and will not hold data longer than is necessary for our business purposes.
There are some circumstances where BroadStream Solutions is not legally obliged to obtain permission to obtain and store data if it is for a contractual basis such as contact details for accounting purposes. This is treated and securely handled in the same way under the GDPR regulation as all other data and you are still entitled to request to have access to the data we hold.
